Cabaret Voltaire - Micro-Phonies

This is a great album released amidst Cold War and high unemployment around
the world. The album's theme and production conveys this with the Cabs usual sardonic
humour. It's very fitting that the album was released during 1984 being the time-stamp
of the George Orwell novel and all that. Musically, their sound became more settled with
the use of their new studio and equipment. This version contains all the extra tracks related to the period. Brilliant.

Ultravox - Systems Of Romance

Remastered version of the 1978 classic. This was the beginning of the Ultravox relationship
with the legendary Krautrock producer Conny Plank, eventhough the Midge Ure years sounded
totally different. In places some of the songs are very like Foxx's later lp The Garden ,which included a track called Systems Of Romance. The extra track b-side Crossfade sounds like something from Metamatic which was to follow when Foxx went solo. Great stuff.

Simple Minds - Sons And Fascination/Sister Feelings Call

Simple Minds came into their own with this great album which is marginally better than New Gold Dream in my opinion. The band members played so tight and it is produced so well by Steve Hillage. It includes all the tracks which were excluded from the earlier print.

The Human League - Only After Dark (Edit)

po
This is a rare version of this song from the Travelogue lp. It was only available as a limited
edition double-pack promotion for Empire State Human single during 1980. It's not a vinyl
rip.

Cabaret Voltaire - Drinking Gasoline

This is another excellent e.p. by Sheffield's finest Cabaret Voltaire. It was released during
1985 to rave reviews. The Cabs have been quoted as a huge influence on bands during the last
20 years.

John Foxx - Metamatic 2007

I hate to state the obvious, but you have to admit this is a brilliant album. Recorded on an 8-track recorder using a rhythm machine and small arsenal of synthesizers. Sometimes less is the more.
This is the latest remaster which includes b-sides and rare tracks.

John Foxx - No-One Driving (Alternative Version)

This is an excellent version of the classic track from 1980. It is taken from the latest 'best of'
by John Foxx entitled 'Glimmer'.

Nash The Slash - Swing Shift

Canadian solo artist Nash The Slash released the Children Of The Night lp during 1980.
This is a version of the song from the lp which was given away as a flexidisc with British
magazine Smash Hits. This is the best version of the track in my opinion.

Thomas Leer - Private Plane

This is a great track from 1978 by Scottish experimentor Thomas Leer. It was recorded in his living room using limited instrumentation due to budgetary factors i presume. It was
one of the forerunners of the post-punk movement and still sounds great.
